perfume fragrances

How long can you make perfumes / fragrances last?... How can you make them last longer?
Making something smell bad is easy ( just get something that rots)
but Is there any method to make something smell good forever / for a really long time?
I know oils give out their fragrance slowly...but is there something that really doesn't die out?
If you are wanting the fragrance to last longer on your body, spray the perfume on your ankles.
If you're wanting it to last long in your home etc spray it near heat eg a radiator
