Oscar de la Renta as a fashion designer who is the son of a Puerto Rican father and Dominican mother. Its original name is commonly spread have been Renta, but there seems no supporting evidence. Born in Bordeaux and raised between Paris and the island of Martinique, worked for the fashion house of Elsa Schiaparelli and the magazine Fashion Harper's Bazaar before joining French Vogue. After her marriage to de la Renta served as a consultant to Elizabeth Arden, had his apartment Manhattan, decorated by Denning & Fourcade, then opened her interior design company itself, its customers, including executives and actors fashion Marina Schiano Helmut Berger and Florinda Bolkan.

De la Renta has stepchildren from both marriages, also an adopted son, Moises de la Renta. The perfume industry makes life more contemporary, with the emergence and popularity of 212 Carolina Herrera for men and women, respectively. As many perfume designers who came before her, clothing Carolina Herrera first designed and established his own couture house, before design and development perfumes to expand online operations of fashion.

In 1991 he unveiled Carolina Herrera for Men. The third Carolina Herrera was launched in 1994, Flora floral and very exciting. The lighter counterpart called Aqua Flora was introduced in 1996.
